The WordPress.com stats helper monkeys prepared a 2013 annual report for this blog.
Here’s an excerpt:
The Louvre Museum has 8.5 million visitors per year. This blog was viewed about 78,000 times in 2013. If it were an exhibit at the Louvre Museum, it would take about 3 days for that many people to see it.
I’ve missed seeing you, amiga! A few days ago \i saw your comment elsewhere and realized that you have a new blog! (Duh!) My head’s not been in the sand, but it has been in the cloud forest and not online often!
Happy New Year!

Hello Lisa, it’s been a long time! I’ve been writing from America since early August, and am still trying to adjust to life at home. I hope all is well with you! 🙂
Congratulations, Cathy – you are such a prolific and colorful writer. I know your audience can always count on an interesting post complete with pictures!
Keep up the good work!
Thanks so much, Annette! My Oman blog did far better than my American one; I think people like the exotic more. But it’s okay. I know I need to be home for awhile. I’ll have to find the exotic here on the East Coast, or in my imagination. I see a lot of books and foreign movies in my 2014. 🙂
Happy New Year ! Love these year-end reports — that I do NOT get on BlogSpot.
Thanks so much and Happy New Year to you, Sybil. Thanks for stopping by. 🙂
Interesting, these stats, aren’t they? Wonder what 2014 will have to say.

Yes, I wonder. My Oman blog did much better than my American one. I think people are more drawn to the exotic. I hope for peace and enough for you in 2014, Carol. xxx
Hi Cathy. Happy New Year. Best of everything for you as you enter 2014. I expect viewers do like the exotic, but the USA has a lot of blog potential. Don’t you agree?
Yes, I do agree, Lynne; and blogging gives me the incentive to get out and see things I’ve never seen before, or at least see things I haven’t seen in a long time! Best to you in 2014 too. 🙂
