Sunday, May 26: Ailsa’s Travel Theme this week is Pathways. I’ve seen many beautiful pathways in my travels around the world.

Path of Bamboo in Arashiyama, near Kyoto, Japan

path through Ihlara Canyon in Cappadocia, Turkey

path through Suncheon Bay Ecological Park in South Korea

snow-covered path through Gongju, South Korea

Many people use the aflaj in Oman as pathways. This one is at Wadi Bani Khalid in Oman.

Pathway of enlightenment ~ leading to a Buddhist temple in Pokhara, Nepal

a pathway along a farmer’s field in Pokhara, Nepal

pathway through Little Petra in Jordan
The paths your life has followed – exciting!
Yes, it’s a meandering path, but I’m hoping it leads me back home soon. 🙂
Such beautiful pathways Cathy! I should have that Kyoto pathway through the bamboo forest somewhere. The Gongju path is my favourite and of course the Siq to Petra 🙂
I’m sure you do have the bamboo forest in your collection, Madhu. I loved that Gongju path (it was so cold that day!), and this one is of LITTLE Petra and not As-Siq of Petra. I have pics of them both, as do you, I’m sure!! 🙂
Oh wow. You have travelled some amazing paths.
Thanks, Sybil. I’ve been really lucky in the last 3 years. 🙂
Oops! Don’t know how I missed that! I loved little Petra.
Yes, Madhu, of course Petra is the best, but Little Petra was quite nice too, especially as it was practically deserted. 🙂
Amazing pathways worth venturing thru
Thanks so much, travtrails. 🙂
No words… amazing! 😀
Thanks so much! 🙂
Wonderful pathways, Cathy. I love the bamboo one the best. Stunning pic.
Thanks so much, Sylvia. Kyoto was so lovely, especially that walk through the bamboo. 🙂
Amazing pathways, Cathy. I love the Pathway of enlightenment. 🙂
Thanks so much, Robin! 🙂

Love the photos. They make me want to travel to those places.
Thanks so much, TBM. I wouldn’t mind going back myself. 🙂
This is so compelling.. “Little Petra in Jordan”
You know there’s the regular Petra and then Little Petra (a sort of smaller version of the real one). Both are beautiful. 🙂
Yes they are!! Will you adopt me 🙂
Haha, I can’t even afford myself! 🙂
the bamboo pathway looks unreal! oh no! steps…must stay away from those steps…
Why steps, Marco? Methinks you might be afraid of heights??
