Thanks so much, Francine. 🙂

All great shots, Cathy – but there’s just something about the Nepalese food and flowers to make make them my favourites 🙂
catbirdinoman said:
Thanks so much, Marianne. 🙂
Madhu said:
Wonderful set Cathy. The shot of the crusader castle is amazing! Is it Kerak or Ajloun? Love the Omani children too 🙂
catbirdinoman said:
This photo is from Karak, Madhu, but I also went to Ajloun.
I loved Jordan! 🙂
Those Omani girls were so cute, and such hams!! 🙂

The second image, Kalambaka is just amazing, what stunning landscape.

Thanks so much, Gilly. I loved Meteora and the views from the monasteries. 🙂
dadirri7 said:
wow cathie, imagine ballooning in cappadocia! such an incredible landscape … all your photos are marvellous choices, and i see you have recent photos of Meteora where we visited in 1979… our crappy photos are not good enough to enjoy anymore … typical 70’s prints 🙂 so it is wonderful to see yours …
catbirdinoman said:
Yes, Christine, Meteora was beautiful. Sadly even my digital photos were not what I wished, as I was on a tour which was very limiting. I know what you mean about those old photos; I have so many of two trips to France, and to think of scanning them all now, and what poor quality they will be. Alas!! Oh well, I guess you have to make do with what you have. 🙂
Eattravelphotograph said:
Love the garden in the first picture, and the one with flowers… but my favourite is Cappadocia. I’m dreaming about it… Thanks for sharing Cathy!
catbirdinoman said:
You will love the hot air balloon in Cappadocia! I hope you get there, Elisa! 🙂

I am rather envious of the travels that gave birth to these pics. Nomad food – yum. Japanese staircase – perfection (no surprise there) hot air balloon in Cappadocia – always wanted to do that and Oman – still on my list 🙂
catbirdinoman said:
There are so many places still on my list, mrscarmichael. I just hope I will have enough time and money to do them all in my lifetime. 🙂

I still think you should contact PBS. You have a great gift in both photography and writing.I watch both Anthony Bordain and his food / travel episodes and Rick Steeves and his travels. Your travels and blogs are just as equal.

Thank you so much, Ron. You are really too kind. When I get back to the USA, maybe I’ll take your advice! 🙂

A wonderful variety of views from above! If you never leave Virginia again, you will have visited many places others will never see – I would say you should feel very good about your life!
catbirdinoman said:
Thanks so much, Carol. Yes, I’m so pleased that I’ve been able to see so much of the world in the last 6 years. Now I’m ready to be home for awhile. But the way I see it, home also has a lot to explore with camera in hand. 🙂
