Sunday, July 22: Here are Cee’s Life Questions for this week:
What type of pets do you have or want?
I don’t have any pets in Oman and, because I am on the go so much, I prefer to keep it that way. However, in the USA, our family has a Border Collie named Bailey. If I ever have any pet, a dog would be my pet of choice.
Would you rather take pictures or be in pictures?
I’d rather take pictures. I used to like being in pictures, but only when it was from a good angle and I didn’t look fat!!
What household chore do you absolutely hate doing?
I hate any household chore that involves water. Cleaning bathrooms, the kitchen, the refrigerator, mopping floors, for example. I don’t mind vacuuming, dusting or organizing.
What’s your least favorite mode of transportation?
As everyone knows, I LOVE to travel, and there aren’t many forms of transportation I don’t like!! I’ve traveled in planes, trains, automobiles, dhows, inflatable & regular canoes, motorboats and sailboats, as well as auto-rickshaws, tuk-tuks, horse-drawn carriages and bicycle rickshaws, on donkeys, horses, and camels. I guess the two modes of transport I like least are riding in the back of a pickup truck or taking trains in India.
Great answers. As to cleaning, it seems to be one of those things that must be done that gives the shortest-lived pleasure, since it takes so little time to be undone. Much like cooking, I think.
Thanks Carol. At least with cooking you get to enjoy the creation. With cleaning, you’re right, it gets undone so quickly. Our worlds keep gravitating into chaos, and we just keep trying to keep everything together!
I can well empathise with your distaste of Indian trains…not for the faint hearted 🙂
Yes, Madhu! It was quite an experience. I guess I should have put a link to my post about it… 🙂
I love water that is why I love doing dishes by hand. The other chores to me are not water….at least in the clean sense of the word. As always I enjoyed your answers. I never thought about traveling by train in another country than where I live. You make a wonderful point.
Doing dishes is not so bad really; I agree Cee! You can do that mindlessly, or maybe I should say mindfully. But the other kinds of cleaning, mopping or scrubbing with a bucket of water, YUCK! Yes, trains in other countries can be quite challenging, to say the least!
I have to agree with you about riding in the back of pick ups and I prefer not to ride the night train from Hanoi to Danang again. That’s a blog right there.
OK, Lynne! I’m waiting to read your post about that train ride!!
Love your answers and the pics that go with them. Travelling in the back of a pick up truck would be my worst nightmare.
Thank you! I know, it would be horrible, wouldn’t it? I need a place to sit where my back is supported…..and I need the temperature to be comfortable!! 🙂
and no wind to blow my hair around. 😉
That’s for sure!
Bailey looks so sweet! 🙂
He is Marina! Very sweet! 🙂
