Sunday, January 6: The travel theme for this week, by way of Ailsa of Where’s my backpack?, is multiples. She challenges us to: Go forth and multiply find multiples to photograph.
This picture was taken just outside Camp Al Areesh Desert Camp in Sharqiya Sands in Oman.

And at Mutrah souq, here is a display of kummar, the intricately embroidered cap worn by Omani men.

multiples of kummar…
Your pictures for this challenge are really brilliant. Love the top one – I’ve never seen so many camels walking along!
Thanks, Rosie! I don’t often see camels walking along in groups like this either, not even in Oman. It was a lucky capture!
Excellent photos, Cathy
Thank you, Marianne!
What brilliant subjects to choose for the multiples theme
Thanks so much, Sas. These are the subjects of my life at this point, so they’re easy to come up with.
Love the hats, perfect choice – I might even copy you as you have inspired me
Thanks Gilly! I’ll have to catch up on all your posts… as soon as I have a minute to breathe once my family leaves!!
Beautiful subjects for the multiple post!
Thanks so much, Amy!
A few years ago I spent a month in the Omani desert, taking photos for a book, so thanks for the memories! And it’s always better to look at camels than to smell them! ;o)
Wow, Logan! Interesting. What is your book called? Glad you’re enjoying the trip down memory lane. And yes, it is definitely better to see a camel than to smell him!
Lovely photos – great ideas for ‘multiples’.
Thanks so much, Elaine!
I love all those hats – what a sight they are
Thanks, Jo!
